Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) talk about the Apple TV series Dickinson for this Lez-ssentials episode, a recurring segment on the essential movies and TV shows in the lesbian canon.

Dickinson is essentially Emily Dickinson fan fiction, and it wastes absolutely zero time before giving us Emisue. They make-out in the very first episode. We love to see it. We break down each season and dissect Emily and Sue’s relationship throughout. We talk about the real historical people that the characters are based on and the real life relationship between Emily and Sue.

At the end of the episode, stick around to hear our original song based on Dickinson titled “Leave A Mark” written by Leigh Holmes Foster and performed by Ellie Brigida and Leigh Holmes Foster.
